The course is used for individual supervision of the diploma project. The student reflects theoretically on his/her approach to the field of scenography and defines key problem/topic areas of personal and professional interest. The field of scenography deeply connects current and past sociocultural environments/spaces, their perception and the formation of visual modes. The student works under the guidance of theoretical and practical teachers on a theoretical thesis that defines the student's specific area of research. The thematic range of the thesis is very broad and can range from contemporary reflection on the perception of historical subject matter and space to the application of scenographic principles as politics in a broader socio-cultural context. Due to the complexity of teaching set and costume design, the topic of the psychological character and its sociocultural interpretation and reflection in the present is an integral part of the theoretical work - the topic is treated on a theoretical level.

The student undergoes consultation of the various stages of the development of the final scenographic project as well as its theoretical reflection. The student consults the structure and terminology of the text part.
