Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students are introduced to the fundamental principles of creation and execution of a drama film lesson. The aim of the module is a meeting of students of film and theatre studies and displays of inspirational intersections of the two areas in relation to alternative distribution, training and education.

Course contents

This module is intended for students who are interested in the use of film and drama in teaching activities. It is intended for FAMU students and DAMU Drama Education Dept students.

Linking film and drama training offers space for mutual enrichment. The module is divided into two blocks:

Friday, 3.4. 10:00 - 14:00, FAMU Documentary Dept. classroom 211

The first block outlines and explains concepts of film and drama training and their potential intersection. Students are introduced to examples of 4 short films which are supplemented with method materials for the implementation of a film-training lesson. The meeting ends with a group discussion on the potential implementation of a film-drama etude inspired by the 4 propsed films.

Part of the block will be a presentation fo the European film-training platform Cined.

Friday 24.4 10:00 - 16:00 FAMU, Classroom U2

The focus of the second lesson will be teamwork on the preparation and execution of a film-drama lesson. Students will depart with their own preparations from the first meeting.
