Course description:

Fourth year students request advising on there work from any of the Photography Dept. instructors.

Students select the topic of the dissertation which is submitted to the selected instructor as the basis for accepting the advisory role. Upon agreement of the instructor, the student is required to report the name of the advisor and topic to the Photography Dept. office.

The topic and dissertation advisor is approved by the head of the Photography Dept. which appoints the dissertation testing individual.

The dissertation course is intended to resolve individual issues during the work and at the close of the dissertation. The student is required to consult on their progress with the advisor, consult with them and present results of the efforts.

If necessary the head of the Dept may be asked to change the name of the work or resolve other issues.

Task:

Written reports on the course of the work with and commentary by the instructor is submitted at the Summary exam.

A graduation thesis course focused on resolving individual issues in the course of work on the final theory graduation thesis.
