Photographic seeing is competence of the author to observe and depict reality by using specific tools of photographic language. It is closely connected to imagination, visual memory and the ability to predict changes of the situation or the object in new conditions, relations etc. Photographic seeing means above all how to realize the quality of the motive - the reality and analyze it in a sense to consider all the knowledge to get the best impact of the image. The aim of this seminar is to realize that photography as a visual communication medium has its own tools, methods and to exercise basic principles of photographic seeing. In order to use this language effectively, we need to learn how to handle photographic symbols, how to operate with photographic tools. Tasks will be after using composition elements (light and shadow, lines, shapes, spatial and plane solution etc.) in both the existing outdoor space and also in constructed situation in the studio.
