Syllablus
Reading and performance of artistic works is a discipline on the boundary of theory and creation. In the Dramatic Theatre Study the basics of the „trade“ enable a concious and repeatable (that is professionally executed) act of creation. It is the individual technological discipline and activity of the creator. Each reading is fundamentally an interpretation. If a theatrical production is performance of „material character occuring in a three dimensional space“ the a reading is a performance of individual features, the ideal space for imagination, dependent on the character of the work and personality of the performer.
Each semester one top-notch work from world drama literature is collectively investigated methodologically and intuitively. At the overall practical level, the seminar simulates detailed and thoroughly guided (as time and space allows) „reading rehearsals“.
