Synopsis:

Studio instruction works on developing talent in the area of forming dramatic characters and familiarizes students wtih the conditions of making costume decor.

Prerequisites:

Ability for artistic communication, dramatic artistic expression and conceptual thinking. Knowledge of basic forms of historical clothing and basic materials for creating costumes. Ability to work with a dramatic text, its formulation, identifying its importance and meaning.

Study Objectives:

The student must master the basic means of expression of costume creation, learn to work with various types of costume creation (drama, opera, ballet) and handle their dramatic situations. He/she must be able to realize them.

Outline and Syllabus:

Work with a dramatic text.

Historical clothing and theatrical costume. Relation of the dramatic character to space. Documentation of material and design.
