Sculptural treatment of the head (portrait). No longer a study, instead emphasis is placed on the overall conception and expression. Alternative: figurative composition.
- Prerequisites:

1. Elementary capacity for three-dimensional perception.
2. General creative ability.
3. Physical fitness and capacity for hard work.
- Study Objectives:

To familiarise students with the principles of three-dimensional creation. The ability to express themselves artistically in these forms. Attempts at artistic creation. Reflections on experience gained and its application to certain disciplines of set design work (the puppet, dramatic object etc.).

Curriculum:
1. Realistic portrait.
2. Figurative study.
3. Craftsmanship work connected with sculptural creation.
4. Figurative or non-figurative compositions.
5. Attempt at personal work in the plastic arts.
Syllabus:
Sources of sculptural work in general. Realistic portrait and figurative study. Work in material / stone / wood. Modern sculptural directions, ability to gain inspiration from them for set design work.

3. Catalogues of contemporary exhibitions.
