Synopsis:

Instruction in the first year is focused on searching for a common language for the acting ensemble with references.

Prerequisites:

Ability to cooperate, sensitivity to a partner, empathy, imagination, sense of speaking and movement rhythm.

Study Objectives:

The aim of the course is to discover the abilities of one's own body as an instrument of communication and learn how to use it.

Outline and Syllabus:

Outline:

- Introductory games and exercises.

- Sensory perception.

- Free body.

- Sensing a partner - partners.

- Working with a space.

- Working with props.

Syllabus:

- Introduction to the acting - theatre - educational experience of a ensemble.

- Contact and communication in an ensemble.

- Common sensing, listening, touching, creating

- The body as a mass, simulating a space with one's body, simulating a space in ensemble.

- Lightness, form, beauty and entirety.

- Space perception - realistic observing - imagining a space, working with the closeness and openess of a space.

- From real to substitute to imaginary props.

- Working with monologues, interpretation variations, changes in environment, monologues with contrasting effect.

- Free group improvisation - sensing minor impulses, fundamental existence in a situation.

- Improvising with rules - alphabet, dubbing, animation, float, writer, forbidden letters, etc.

- Concurrent references to working with child actors.
