The technique and bases of various types of dance. A sense of dance, working with a partner. Rhythm, developing musicality and kinetic memory, expression relevant to a certain character of dance.

Syllabus:
Instruction leads students to distinguish between genres and dance styles. To a certain degree it also means acquiring skills, broadening the dance register, elaborating partnerships, working with a costume and props (rail, cane, cylinder). To a certain extent the semester's content is connected to the theme followed in dramatic work.
Curriculum:
I. year - Czech and Moravian folk dance, Czech society dance of the 19th century (saloon dancing)
II year - period dance, e.g. Renaissance, Menuet and society dance of the 20th century, the dance of foreign nations
III year - tango, special dance styles such as r-n-roll, jazz dance, cancan, swing. Step and flamenco - these dance styles are taught optionally.
