The course examines the problem of photographic reproduction as a physical-chemical process in relation to the psycho-physiology of visual perception. The introduction is devoted to the topics of light and radiance, photometry, the properties of vision, theories of colour vision, psycho-physiological phenomena that influence what is ultimately perceived and the basics of optical imaging. The course include technical exercises.
