Synopsis:

The objective of this course is to give students a general introduction to photographic reproduction in four thematic areas and familiarise them with laboratory processing and black-and-white photography blow-ups. Students, divided into small groups, alternate at each of the work stations and through practical examples and a theoretical introduction are encouraged to work independently and to try out what they have learned. The results of work created at each work station will be evaluated together, and that evaluation will be used in further instruction to assess the use of correct and incorrect methods. Students learn about classic analogue methods of black-and-white (portrait, figure, architecture) and colour (documentary) photography and about digital technology and its use in computer processing (table top, still life).
