TUVALU was Helmers directing debut in 1999. It has almost no dialogue. This bizarre story about the lifeguard, Anton, who dreams of a paradise on the south pacific island, Tuvalu. Actors include Denis Lavant and Čulpan Chamatovová, music is composed by Goran Bregovič.
