Synopsis:

Linked to the Salon of Projects from the previous semester. Presents the entire production team as it has come together. Students apply in practice the basic premise of the ALD department, i.e. that the production work is collective/team work. Projects announced for the Market of Projects are evaluated by an assessment committee.

Prerequisites:

1. Artistic invention.

2. Talent for team work.

3. Ability to bring a project from the idea stage to its realisation.

Study Objectives:

1) Through the Salon and Market of Projects to begin to develop cooperation between students of study fields or class-years.

2) Create the space where students can formulate (beyond the basic study plan) their own projects in the KALD area of focus.

3) Developing platforms where students can prepare their own project from the initital idea, through forming a creative team, to its complete realisation.

4) Developing students? abilities to present themselves and their own work, or the quality of their artistic teams, in a convincing way.

Outline and Syllabus:

Curriculum:

1) Announcement of the competition for subject proposals and their public presentation.

2) Putting together creative teams and completing projects, including the budget.

3) Presenting projects prepared for realisation.

4) Realising projects which the jury supported from the FRVS grant.

5) Reflections on the Market of Projects results and analysis of prepared productions.

Syllabus:

The Market of Projects is a starting point for developing cooperation with the various fields of study, or class-years. This means it is another step on the way to students being able to formulate precise projects in the KALD spirit, i.e. projects which will be prepared so thoroughly that they speak for themselves clearly and directly. Students should thus learn to present projects so that, as well as containing explicit formulations of the relevant version of the text, they also include the production concept in its most concrete form, including set design or musical and other elements representing the joint work of the whole production team. In doing so they should be able to present a convincing case for themselves and their work, and the quality of their artistic teams.
