Tutor:
Karel VOSTÁREK
Synopsis:

A larger theatre project in which the students will expand their practical experience with the inherent laws of the theatre in all its dramaturgical and directorial components.

Prerequisites:

This course continues with the entrance theatre project, lectures in theatre theory and acquired practical theatre skills and knowledge. The course is coordinated with concurrent courses (particularly authorial-drama course, stage design, acting training and performing with objects and puppets, incidental music).

Study Objectives:

Students get to know the specifics of staging work as the director and those being directed. In a constant movement among particular tasks and their reflections in theory, this course is completed with a small theatre form whose sense is to provide students their own experience of the forming of a theatre staging at all phases. This will contibute to the development of their theatre skills, display the difference in theatre work with adults and children, link the individual subjects of instruction and support the relationships between them.

Outline and Syllabus:

1. Dramaturgical considerations taking into account the disposition and interests of particular groups and individuals, possibilities and conditions; searching for material and themes

2. Differences between interepretive and authorial theatre

3. Searching for staging means and theatre patterns

4. Searching for a style for future stagings - creation of the dramaturgical-directorial concept

5. Staging - creating the blocking notes

6. Presentation and reflection - The life of a staging after the premier
