Synopsis:

Instruction, in the first year, is focused upon searching for a common language for an acting group with references.

Prerequisites:

Ability to cooperate, sensitivity towards a partner, empathy, imagination, sense of speaking and movement rhythm.

Study Objectives:

The aim of the course is to uncover the potential of one's own body as a means of communication and how to use it.

Outline and Syllabus:

Curriculum:

- Introductory games and exercises

- Sensory perception

- Free body

- sensitivity to partner(s)

- Working with space

- Working with props

Syllabus:

- Introduction to acting - theatre - an educationally experienced group.

- Contact and communication in a group.

- Mutual perception, listening, touch, composition.

- The body as a mass, moulding a space with one's body, moulding a space in a group.

- facility, form, beauty and integrity.

- Spatial perception - true contemplation - idea of a space, working with the closed or open nature of a space.

- From real to substitue to imaginary props.

- Working with monologues, variations in interpretation, changes in surroundings, monologue with contrasting effects.

- Free group improvisation - sensing fine impulses, fundamentally existing in a situation.

- Improvisation with rules - alphabet, dubbing, animation, float, writer, forbidden letters, etc.

- Concurrent references to work with child actors.
