Synopsis:

Practical contact with puppet theatre and its various types and techniques and characteristics - creative workshop according to the intention of the students (shadow theatre, marionettes, hand-puppets....)

Prerequisites:

Not only is an interest in puppetry required but also acquired knowledge and skill in acting training and the courses: Make-up/puppets and Acting with props and puppets.

Study Objectives:

Introduction to various types of puppets and their inherent characteristics.

Outline and Syllabus:

Curriculum:

- Object animation

- Flat puppets and their potential and limits.

- Hand puppets and their various types.

- Marionettes.

- Shadow theatre.

- Further types of puppets according to student interest.
