This course introduces students to the strategies, methods and types of lessons in working a children's theatre ensemble. Students are introduced to the characteristics of working with various periods in the development of children, methods and lessons according to particular goals (searching and working on a topic, characters, working in a space, etc.) In the final lesson, students will actively participate i nthe work on a stage form or other type of project within an ensemble and proposal and executre their own lesson for a children's theatre ensemble.

Students employ knowledge from the Praktikum Dv 1 I, II, and Didaktika dramaticke vychovy courses.

- Students are able to select methods with consideration of the age and development characteristics of the children.
- Students consciously select strategies and types of lessons in separate phases of their work.
- Students are able to reflect upon their own experience, select alternative paths, resolve problem situations, actively work with goal structures.
- Students demonstrate ability to create various types of lessons for theatre ensembles with an awareness of the inherent rules and characteristics of creative theatre practice,

Curriculum:
- Working methods in relationship to children's psychological development.
- Working strategies and types of lessons.
- Working with stage forms or other types of long-term projects with a children's ensemble.
- Student individual performances, reflections upon them and evaluation.
Syllabus:
In the first part of the course (first semester) the students will be engaged with working methods with consideration of developmental psychology. Theoretic findings will accompany lesson examples intended for particular child age groups and examples from performances by the age group. In the second part of the course, the students will be introduced to various types of lessons with different goals (preparatory exercises, researching a topic, working on characters, using improvisation and drama games.) The third semester will be dedicated to long-term continuing work on a particular topic from selecting the subject matter, to searching for content, topc, situation with potential directions towards the production.
