- Synopsis:

This seminar follows up directly on the seminar Contemporary Theatre in the West 1; it continues with familiarization of students with the most important contemporary Euro-American theatrical trends; besides direct individual experience with foreign theatre, it uses video recordings, foreign-language dramatic texts and, of course, texts existing in Czech translations.
- Prerequisites:

- participation in the seminar (2 absences per semester are tolerated);
- continuous preparation and active work in the seminar;
- 1 paper during the semester;
- other studies as needed;
- final term paper

The goal of the course is to continue reflection on dramatic and theatrical works of chosen language areas and to try to understand them in a broader historical context.

Seminar focuses on theatre in France, Great Britain, Germany and Austria, and alternatively also on theatre in Italy and Poland.
