Synopsis:

Through preliminary questions of what literature is/isn't, who is/isn't an author, who is/isn't a reader, who is/isn't a narrator etc., the course offers a basic orientation and correct habits for work with a literary work. The main goal is to become familiar with the basic terminology of descriptive poetics, narratology and theatrology. Other material added continuously.

Prerequisites:

Active participation, performing of continually assigned tasks; interpretation

Study Objectives:

Familiarization with the theory and practice of linguistic construction of a dramatic text (dramas of antiquity, the renaissance, classical and romantic eras etc.) and the possibility of their vocal realization in Czech translation. Familiarization with contemporary translation practice.
