The international trend at film schools is to extend the curricula for future producers to include film dramaturgy, so that the producer is not just a synonym for the accountant who draws up and monitors the budget. The objective of this course is to introduce students of production to basic dramaturgical concepts (character, conflict, the structure of a classic and modern story, film genres, new narrative methods, etc.), and demonstrate them using film examples so that they become a practical part of their future work. This knowledge allows students not just to obtain a deeper understanding of the film script but also to refer to possible errors and proposal solutions. Generally put, it is intended to educate future producer so that they can be a solid partner to the scriptwriter and the director even with respect to the screenplay.
