Study Objectives:

Exercises with the goal of expanding, improving and developing composition skills in working with music material.

Mode of delivery:

Composition exercises based on a formulated assignment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Submission of a high-quality semester paper.

Course contents:

Exercises in the composition techniques of vocal and instrumental polyphony, modal and tonal harmony, expanded tonal harmony, working with high tones in dodecaphony, serial and multi-serial methods, modern modality, application of tradtional and modern metro-rhythmic principles, polyrhythms, polymeters and multi meters, creaing a techtonic structure according to a particular assignment and students' individual level of maturity - in relation to a range of topics of the main study „Music Theory - Systematics.“
