The aim of the course is to expand knowledge and practical skills which the students acquired in the introduction to Camera study and in the completion of the Winter semester and during the 1st study year, students will need for completing the required Documentary dept. exercise.

Contact instruction with examples and presentation of work with exponometric devices, film cameras and video-cameras.

Completion of „Film Techniques and Technologies“ in the Winter semester of the 1st year of Bachelor's study.

The aim of the course is to expand the knowledge and practical skills which the student acquired in the introduction to the camera profession and in fulfilling the practical of the Winter semester and which will be needed in the Summer semester of of the 1st study year for the completion of the required KDT practical exercises.
Meeting times (8x3 hours) will be precisely determined according to the Summer semester schedule:
1. Practical introduction to the Bolex Paillard camera
basics, changing lenses, mastering the camera drive, effects possibilities, high speed, time-lapse shots, recording by hand, maintenance, etc.
Aids: Paillard BOLEX camera, 30m old film, storage bag
2. Practical introduction to the Asahi Pentax 5 light meter
extent of luminance of a shot scene, receptor luminance extent, (film material, electronic chip). working with a light meter, basic hints, practical tests

3. Basic practice iwth lighting in a documentary
practical exercises in lighting a standard scene in a daytime and nighttime interior, supplemental practical exercises with a light meter
Aids: 3CCD videocamera with access to a monitor in the classroom (long cable), Asahi Pentax 5 light meter
4. Individual consultations with students by appointment.

Tasks:
The first three classes are obligatory and participation is a condition for credit. Other consultations are individual and voluntary according to the needs of the student
