Student je povinen nabídnout během semestru připravit krátkou asi 15 min dlouhou prezentaci zabývající se tvorbou a anlýzou tvorby jednoho autora či tendence či analýzu teoretického problému spojeného se současnou fotografií. K prezentaci je nutné připravit obrazový materiál a seznam literatury. Téma navrhuje student, ale pedagog jej musí odsouhlasit. Na konci ročníku probíhá útsní zkouška - diskuse o předních představitelích tendencí posledních dvou dekád.
