Study Objectives:

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the various potential electronic adjustments of acoustic signals and the historical development of analog modifiers.

Mode of delivery:

Presentation of factual information for discussing topics, listening to and analyses of selected examples.

Discussions and evaluation of elementary course tasks - ex: removing unwanted noise, adding appropriate echoes, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of „Mathematics, Physics, Basics of Computer Sound Processing.“

For credit the submission of the course paper is required.

Course contents:

Students learn about various electronic modifications to the acoustic signal from the perspective of spacial, altitude, and timber changes and other special effect modifications. They learn about the principles and historical development of analog adapters and acquire the theoretical basics for digital sound modification.
