The course aimis to introduce the current issues in studio digital processing of sound signals.

Mastery of the material from all technical courses of the previous study.

- Course contents:

1. Studio processing, Digidesign
2. Progamming equipment, TDM, Multi-channel processing.
3. CD derived technology, mastering and preparation of materials for CD publication.
4. Methods for distributing and commercial media. Selection of technology used in directorial processing according to the final media used. Compatibility and variability of studio approaches and subsequent technology.
5. CD ROM and CD RW, burning issues.
6. Digital systems; DOLBY, their versions and equipment for direction, processing and reproduction. Selection of expansion and compression profiles according tofilm genre.
7. DTS system and other film systems. Digital systems requirements for film material.
8. DVD technology. Preliminary material for DVD production. DVD media versions. Copy prevention. DVD Group, organizations and their importance for DVD technology. MPEG coding used in DVDs. DVD player standards, Main menu
9. Digital radio and TV broadcast, internet.
10. Expected development of digital technology from the viewpoint of creative and distribution forms.
