The alto flute is an instrument in many music ensembles. This course gradually provides the student with all abiliities and knowledge needed for playing the alto flute. Students are divided according to their abilities. They are introduced to techniques in how to play the alto flute. Considering that the difference in students' ability to play the alto flute may be great an individual path of instruction is chosen. The view of why the student wants to play the alto flute is definitive for the method of the course. Students are introduced to the instrument and its potential. For those who are advanced in their alto flute playing, using easier etudes their issues in playing are defined and the most feasible manner of correction is sought.

This course gradually provides students with all skills and knowledge needed in playing the alto flute. The students are divided according to their ability. They are introduced to techniques of how to properly play the alto flute. Considering the difference is student piccolo playing may be great an individual instructional path is chosen.
