Study Objectives:

Předmět vybaví studenta všemi schopnostmi a vědomostmi, které při hře na basklarinet potřebuje. Studenti získají komplexní pohled na basklarinetovou problematiku. Získají vědomosti jak o praktické hře na nástroj, tak o všeobecném rozhledu po možnostech uplatnění basklarinetu. Je dáván důraz na postupném srovnávání rozdílů v kvalitě hry jednotlivých studentů. Méně zdatní se musí dostat na úroveň, která jim zaručuje profesionální uplatnění s basklarinetem. Literatura předmětu vychází i z náročnějších skladeb pro tento nástroj a to v doprovodu klavíru či orchestru nebo jiného komorního sdružení. Studují se skladby sólové, ale hlavně orchestrální sólová literatura.

Chamber literature of duets, trios and other combinations of wind, string, keyboard and percussion instruments.

Course contents:

The Bass clarinet is an instrument of many music groups. This instrument is extensively used in orchestra, solo and, today, other music genres. This course gradually provides students with all skills and knowledge needed for playing the bass clarinet. Students receive a complete overview of bass clarinet issues. Students acquire knowledge of how to play the instrument and a general view of the potential applications of the instrument. Their education method views are supported in instruction. An emphasis is place on gradual comparison of the differences in the playing quality of individual students. Less capaple students must achieve the level which will guarantee them professional application of the bass clarinet. The course literature starts with more demanding compositions for the instruments and with piano or orchestra accompaniment. Also, students study solo and orchestra solo compositions. At the close of the course all playing issues are reviewed as well as a description in the overview of orchestra solos in the broadest sense.
