Study Objectives:

Předmět vybaví studenta vědomostmi o literatuře v oblasti orchestrální hry a prakticky procvičí nejdůležitější sóla ,se kterými se může orchestrální hráč v praxi setkat. Ve všech předmětech se postupně objeví všichni skladatelé a jejich významná sóla pro hoboj v orchestrálním světě. Pracuje se s orchestrálními studiemi tuzemských i zahraničních edicí a se specializovanými party orchestrů České republiky (ČF, FOK, SOČR, ND).

Instrument skills at the level corresponding to the study year and student profile.

Recommended optional programme components

Chamber literature in wind duets and trios.

Course contents:

The course provides the student with an awareness of orchestral literature and practices the most important solos which the orchestra player may encounter. In this course Czech symphonic music parts are practiced - A. Dvořák, B. Martinů.

Study materials:

Orchestra studies (vyd.Breitkopf, Hofmeister and others),

Other oboe and English hor parts of all types of orchestra material from the archives of ČF, SOČR or FOK with particular emphsis on oboe parts in compositions by A. Dvořák and J. Brahms.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Participation of students in auditions for symphonic and opera orchestras.

Assessment methods and criteria

Evaluation of instrument and orchestra playing, completion of the established repertoire, AKS verification, all concluded with the award of credit.
