Předmět vybaví studenta vědomostmi o literatuře v oblasti orchestrální hry a prakticky procvičí nejdůležitější sóla ,se kterými se může orchestrální hráč v praxi setkat. Ve všech předmětech se postupně objeví všichni skladatelé a jejich významná sóla pro pozoun v orchestrálním světě. Pracuje se s orchestrálními studiemi tuzemských i zahraničních edicí a se specializovanými party orchestrů České republiky (ČF, FOK, SOČR, ND).

This course provides students with a knowledge of orchestra music and practices the most important solos which the orchestra musician may encounter. This course practices orchestra parts from Czech operas - B. Smetana, A. Dvořák, L. Janáček. The course explains the particulars of orchestra playing and what demands are placed on the musician. Intonation on various instruments is explained. The course clarifies tuning principles with other brass or various orchestra instruments. Intonation color, a type of color tuning, is a very important aspect of playing in an orchestra. The dynamics of playing in an orchestra has its own nature, for example, solos need to played one dynamic louder than written, etc. The differences in orchestra playing in an opera and symphony orchestra are defined and rehearsed. The course introduces sound samples from various performances of one composition. The approach of the same conductor with various orchestras or the same orchestra with various conductors. Pivotal Czech opera works are studied.
