Study Objectives:

Klarinet svým mnohostranným uplatněním vyžaduje nemalé schopnosti a dovednosti hráče. Předmět vybaví studenta všemi schopnostmi pro zvládnutí dobré a kvalitní úpravy plátků. Tento předmět se zabývá možnostmi úpravy špičky plátku a vlivu těchto úprav na tón.Špička plátku hraje rozhodující roli při nasazení tónu, staccatu, dvojitém staccatu. V předmětu jsou vyučovány možnosti jak, a kde na špičce plátek upravovat. Vazby, které se tímto promítají do kvality ozvu tónu , jsou prakticky ukazovány a procvičovány. Špička se dá definitivně doupravit i nejjemnějším smirkovým papírem nebo přesličkou. Také po zkrácení plátku střihačkou je nutné znovu upravit špičku, neboť střihem vzniká na kraji plátku jakýsi miniaturní mantinel, který se musí odstranit. Někdy stačí pouze smirkovat o tvrdší normální papír, jindy je třeba použít všech možností úpravy špičky. Srovnáváním různých profilů špiček od různých výrobců dává nahlédnout do stavby a zákonitostí principu chvění plátku při hře.Toto je náplní výuky předmětu.

Reed adjustments according to style specifics, high tone sound flexibilty, extreme dynamic and double-staccato.

Course contents:

The clarinet with its multi-faceted applications requires considerable skills and abilities. This course provides students with all abilities for managing good and quality reed modifications. This course covers the possible reed tip modifications and their influence on tone. The reed tip plays a decisive role in setting the tone, staccato and double staccato. The course also instructs possibilities of how to modify the tip. Relations which appear in the tone quality are demonstrated and practiced. The tip may also be re-modified by the softest sandpaper or horesetail. Also, after cutting down the reed with a cutter, it is necessary to re-modify the tip or in the cutting a miniature manitel may arise which must be removed. Sometimes only slightly rougher sandpaper is enough. Otherwise all other tip modifications need to be used. There is a comparison of various tip profiles from various producers giving an overview of the structure and natural principles of reed vibrations in playing. This is the course instruction content.
