Study Objectives:

Výběr a dotváření tématu, či libreta. Výběr hudby. Organizační příprava tanečního projektu. Předmět poskytuje vodítko a pedagogické rady choreografa z praxe při samostatném vytváření rozlehlejších či závažnějších divadelně tanečních inscenacích se zvláštním přihlédnutím k režijní, dramaturgické a organizační stránce. Realizace bodového scénáře připravované inscenace.

Completion of the HAMU Dance Dept. Choreography bachelor's study or similar.

Course contents:

Dramaturgy selection of subject matter appropriate for dancers - a ballet production. Inspiration by musical or literary content. The differences in preparing a directorial concept of a libretto for an abstract ballet and and plot-action dance production. Organizational preparations and development of the point script, schedule (dramaturgical balance and drama). The point script is an indication of the professionalness of the choreographer. The point script and schedulre are particularly important for the music composer who should compose the dance-drama production. However, other collaborators are welcomed: the set designer acquires an idea of the stage set changes, the costumer gets information about the overall atmosphere and period of the work and the demands on the costuming, the light designer gets an idea of the lighting atmosphere, the stage manager is informed of the demands of the stage changes, etc. The professionally prepared work selected by the student will be implemented on stage at the end of the second semester.
