Study Objectives:

Rozvíjení pedagogických schopností a dovedností studentů při výuce současných tanečních technik a formování individuálního pedagogického stylu

Mode of delivery:

Exercises, analysis of recorded media samples, discussion.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of Modern Dance Methods 1-4 (for bachelor study graduates at the Dance Dept.). For Dance Education Master's students from other higher institutions of learning a high level of movement skills in modern dance techniques is required (Graham, Limon, Cunningham, Contemporary) and execution of the education performance in the entrance process.

Recommended optional programme components

A recommended elective element is participation in trade seminars and workshops arranged by other professional organizations.

Course contents:

Modern dance methods means an understanding of the uniqueness of this dance branch, its blending with other influences, creative approach in instruction, finding one's educational style.

1. Verifying methods and instruction knowledge and skills in dance instruction

2. Integration of various movement styles

3. Analysis of student instruction performance.
