Study Objectives:

Cílem je získat teoretické vědomosti a praktické schopnosti takového rozsahu, aby bylo možné rekonstruovat (revitalizovat) předromantický taneční styl na podkladě choreografiích zaznamenaných buď formou notace nebo slovního popisu.

Mode of delivery:

Practical in a dance hall. Introduction and gradual mastery of individual dance elements and subsequent reconstruction of a repertoire according to sources.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Average knowledge of classical dance technique. Completion of Survey of the History of Dance and Ballet 2 and Interpretation Practice. Movement coordination and good movement memory.

Recommended optional programme components

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

Fundamental principles of Rokoko dance technique, differences from the Baroque and Classic. Posture, step combinations and sequences(enchainements). Types of dance, port de bras. M. Gardel's Rokoko menuet.
