Study Objectives:

Cílem výuky je schopnost „více vidět skutečnost“ a být schopen analyzovat rozmanitost jejích forem, tvarů, linií, hmot, barev a světelných vlastností, vzájemných vztahů věcí a následně technických a výrazových možností výtvarného vyjádření.

Důraz je kladen na prostorové vnímání a chápání skutečnosti, skladebnost vztahů věcí a hmot, problém kompozičních zákonitostí a znalost psychologických aspektů barev.

Mode of delivery:

In painting a still life the students are guided to and understanding of individual elements as a material and forms of matter of „autonomous actors in a scene.“ To be able to create living, rich and finally, organic wholes, each individual element must first have its own unmistakeable character.

Then that diversity may create a whole which has the expressive power of a depiction of the world „stopped in eternity“ - still life.

Painting a nude is not understood as merely a study of the human anatomy but a verification of the relationship of mutual body proportion, questions of light, color and matter, and also the expressive element of the position of the human body in the space of the world.

The student must learn to measure proportionally, model volume correctly with shadowing and light and learn composition. Generally be able to comlete assignments in the intensive study.
