Course description (Lectures)

The task of the course is to expand theory knowledge of Film and TV Camera in „Applied Optics.“ Students completed the basic study Optics 1, which provided fundamental knowledge, mainly in geometric optics and related disciplines. In Optics II students have the opportunity to use earlier acquired in a wider context with knowledge from studies. In particular, students are introduced to concepts, phenomena and the inherent rules of wave (coherent) optices and quantum optics and their close relationships in the cinematic and television image creation process which have a fundamental influence on quality. This course is taught through normal methods: lectures - discussions - consultations - exams. Addtionally, consultations allow interested students to focus on some special area and are an introduction to their separate study, or master's thesis preparations.

(Special assignments are not given to the stduents, nor are there any tests or final papers.)

Presumed knowledge: Optics I and other theory courses of basic study.
