Study Objectives:

This course facilitates the student achieving a basic knowledge of producer planning with an emphasis on a particular project underway

Course contents:

The aim of the course is to broaden basic knowledge in planning the production of a film project. (The basic knowledge was obtained in „Producing Worshop 1, 2, 3“ courses.) This course is designed for all CDM students and is essential for creating an awareness of how to plan their project for production requirements.

A concurrent effort is made to help students draw closer to the consequential steps after project completion - project presentation and possible distribution with subsequent requirements for copyright and proper use distribution.

Lecture content is analyses of current and planned projects of CDM students with an emphasis on preproduction.

Study materials:

Any FAMU International project - short film on DVD - analysis of the production preparation procedures.

Any (short film) project - from official DVD distribution - analysis of the producer's planning procedures with a view to distribution and festival presentations.

Material from the FAMU Library (film production).
