Upon completion the student will be familiarized with the basic manners in the tradition of film adaptation functions in Central Europe with an emphasis on the most signficant film directors and the literature of that region (Menzel-Hrabal, Wajda-Sienkiewicz, etc.)

Screenings, commentary and analyses of recordings arising within Central European cinema which adapt literary models.
- Fundamental elements of film adaptation and screenwriting theory.
