This course gradually provides students with all the skills and knowledge needed in playing the English horn. This course focuses on orchestra literature, primarily English horn solos. Most Oboists select the English hornalto flute for its use in orchestras. The English horn is quite prominent in symphonic aand opera works. Therefore, great space is given to orchestra literature. Even for those not interested in orchestra playing, there is a presentation of individual orchestra parts but also instruction in solo literature, literature with piano accompaniment or other chamber groups is prepared. Considering differences in the students ability in playing the English horn can be quite diverse, individual paths of instruction are chosen.
