This course provides students with technique, tone quality, intonation and performance skills to withstand competition in the soloist, chamber and orchestral music fields. The course guides the future artist to independence, creation of their own ideas and defense of their thoughts. These are the basics of the course instruction. Personal development is the priority. All issues regarding playing the French horn are improved in etudes by Franz, Nauber with an emphasis on those deficiencies which have not yet been completely mastered. If the student's technique allows, this course begins instruction in double staccato. This is where the tongue is set once for two successive tones. The second is produced using the air current. If single staccato is not in order, the double staccato is instructed in later classes. Recital compositions are oriented towards those with greater imagination content where the student must use their own thoughts and imagination - Saint Saens, F.A. Rossetti, V.D. Kirchner, P. Hindemith.
