Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. Introduction to basic principles of the M. Graham technique.

2. Introduction to individual elements of that dance technique.

3. Introduction to methods and educational processes in their instruction.

4. Gradual learning of those processes.

Mode of study:

Lecture and exercises.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of Modern Dance 1 and 2.

Registration of Modern Dance Technique 1 and 2.

Recommended optional programme components:

A recommended elective element is participation in classes and workshops arranged by other professional dance organizations.

Course contents:

Modern dance methods means an understanding of the uniqueness of this dance branch, its blending with other influences, creative approach in instruction, finding one's educational style.

1. Introduction to the basic technique principles of modern dance (Graham)

2. Introduction to individual elements of this technique.

3. Method and education procedures in its instruction

4. Creative approach to the instruction of modern dance
