Selection of dances: Selection of appropriate dances with consideration of the children's age should be done sensibly and carefully. Students learn to select dances according to the abilities, skills and age of the children. Students try to find available dance literature which is appropriate for a particular age. This material is further used in learning to reconstruct dance from notation and instruct the dance. Student share their observations and other ideas and in this interactivity they gain necessary experience for working with children.
Simplifying dances and working with them: Student continue to work with dances, attempting to adjust and simplify them for greater use. Later, from this basis, dance experience is developed to the mastery of the entire dance. Many dance may be simplified for children. It is necessary to learn to maintain the basic structure of the dance and steps. Also, dance in a space is worked on (various space variations of dances) and their linking into a greater whole (linkage), which may be used with children for a demonstrative lesson, public lesson or other children's performance.
