Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The instruction aim is to introduce dance education students to teaching procedures of dance gymnastics which develops not only physical condition and overall movement but also serves the elementary level of instruction and development of pupils' expression and acting skills

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Movement and Dance experience is required.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

Instruction continues from the first semester. This covers the following: horizontal, circular and eighth swing sequences from place, in turns; concentric and eccentric tension; small jump phrases, large jump phrases; dance etudes in a space with a selected musical composition. Students learn general education rules and develop their instruction creativity and dance imagination in the learning of dance gymnastics teaching principles.
