Course contents:

In Modern Dance Training students learn differing variations used in floor work exercises whicn needn't always maintain form according to the strict rules of M. Graham but her principles are accepted. They are introduced to various possibilities in joining individual exercises and their development (ex: use of swing movements in spirals in the IV position). As well in the center work, exercises phrases often work with spirals, body weight, practicing isolations, development of coordination. Combinations across the floor are more complex than in the first two semesters, containing more technical elements in sequence (ex: tilt and knot) which requires a faster tempo of training and greater requirements physically and in concentration. Students are guided to be aware of the methodic connections of exercises. Modern Dance Training reacts to the needs of the students, meaning that the focus on particular technical problems attempts to correct movement habits or deficiences.

Simultaneously Modern Dance Training guides student to a development of artistic personality by increasing the quality of the dance technique.
