Introduction to aesthetic issues as a contemporary research discipline which is an essential part of the intellectual skill of an arts school graduate.

In the first semester the course is designed as an introduction to aesthetics, in which the usual „introductory“ questions are posed: What is the object of the discipline? What methods does aesthetics use? In connection with current literature (V. Zuska: Estetika. Uvod do tradiční discipliny) the main topics of modern aesthetic theory are traced which start with the definition of the aesthetic situation as the basic object of aesthetic research. In this field aesthetic interest fluctuate between the described rise of the aesthetic object and the recounting of requirements for the aesthetics recipient.
