Learning outcomes of the course unit:

This course is instructed in two bearings :

2) Dance technique - contact improvisation

1) Theatre improvisation guides the students to an understanding and development of three elements:

Improvisation as original

Improvisation - a regular element of every regular acting performance

Improvisation - exceptional dramatic creation on the stage in a topic area.

The aim is and understanding and ability to quickly react in each performance and use improvisation in the creation of a staging.

2) Contact improvisation is movement technique which is supported by set foundations which are characterized in classical and modern dance such as extending movement, stretchin the limbs and whole body in grand poses, high leg lifts and jumps with maximum movement extent using elasticity, finding elegance and maintaining beautiful lines. Contact improvisation investigates other potential in movement beyond the classical ballet vocabulary. We must, however, prepare the dancer's body for new unusual manners of movement, new mechanisms and new considerations of movement using methods of „Exploring movement“. This method contains many exercises for individuals, pairs and groups.
