Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. Introduce the concept of theatre as a system and based on systems theory.

2. Introduce the theatre system a the structural, component, cooperative, functional and integral level.

3. Introduce the basic principles forming theatre as a particular type of art.

4. Introduce the main concepts indicating key principles o the theatre system.

Course contents:

The system and structure of theatre as a synthesis of various components from which specific art styles arise - theatre.

Particularity of system-structural relationships

Personal theatre language.

1. Concept of the system based on system theory

2. Basic principles of system-structural concepts

3. Particulars of the theatre system.

4. Arrangement of the theatre system into a societal system and higher system forms.

5. Basic subsystems of the theatre and their functions

6. Rise and function of theatre language.
