Definitive theory study with the topic of the final master's thesis.

Classes on selected master's thesis topics. Study of resource material. Application of knowledge of set-design theory and history for a given issue.

Visits to contemporary productions and subsequent analysis from a scenic design viewpoint.
- Course contents:
-
Demonstration of knowledge of the fundamentals of working with source material, use of knowledge in the development of stage artistry, particularly in film. Application of knowledge of a trade text dealing with drama and production. Study of the history of a selected production in the Czech Republic and in the world. Investigating parallels and sources of inspiration. Critique review of the given production.

Analysis of contemporary productions from the viewpoint of knowledge of traditional scenic design methods. Practical application of trade terminology. Visits to exhibitions and subsequent classes on methods applied in fine arts exhibitions (exhibition content, scientific contributions, exhibition critique, architectural treatment, graphics, lighting, etc.)

75% class attendance, independent creation of the final master's thesis (approx. 40 pages of text).
