- Learning outcomes of the course unit:

- Students are able to select methodology considering the age and development of the children.
- Students conscientiously select strategies and types of lessons in individual phases of their work.
- Students are able to review their own experience, select alternative paths, resolve problem situations, work with structure aims.
- Students demonstrate the ability to create various types of lessons for a theatre ensemble with an awareness of the nature and particulars of creative theatre practice.

Curriculum:
- Working methods related to the child mental development
- Working strategies and types of lessons
- Working on staging or other types of long-term projects with a children's ensemble.
- Independent student performances and their review and assessment.
Syllabus:
In the first part of the course (first semester) the students will go over working methods from the viewpoint of developmental psychology. Theory findings will be linked to lesson examples for particular child age groups and samples of theatre productions watched by age groups. In the second part of the course, students are introduced to various types of lessons with various aims (preparatory exercises, investigating topics, working on characters, use of improvisation and drama acting). The third semester will be devoted to consistent work on a defined theme from the selection of the subject matter, through investigating content, theme and situation with possible directing towards the product.
