Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is, through theory review and consultations with the instructor, to enable students to use, check and expand acquired knowledge and improve skills in managing a theatre project directly in their implementation practice.

Course contents:

Elective courses - Project III. - V. provide student with the opportunity to review and consult on the project, in which they, as producers, are taking part beyond the regular study plan. This may be the Summary work or a DAMU student performance project or a project outside of DAMU which the course instructor acknowledgedes as beneficial for the student.

According to the demands and professional level, the project is arranged into a III, IV, or V. level project. Each is separately assessed for credit.

The Project III. - V. course may be registered anytime during the semester and may be repeated without limit.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

- Individual work on a project

- regular consutations with the instructor

- written review of the work.

Assessment methods and criteria:

A project beyond the required production practical may be registered into the study plan only with prior approval by the course instructor and under the following conditions:

a) the student requests its recognition prior to its commencement

b) a supervisor must be assigned to the project from the Photography Dept. instructors (most frequently the course instructor), who must have the ability to monitor and review with the student the course of the project work.

c) the student submits the following writings:

- a project plan - project aim, target group, team organzational structure and delegation of responsibilities, schedule, budget, marketing strategy, media plan, fundraising plan (no all plan parts are required for every type of project. The extent of the report will be individually established by the instructor) - final report - assessment of the project in structure similar to the project plan + review of one's role in the project.
