The course aim is to acquaint students with situations in Czech theatre and the conditions, rules and tools used in the execution of theatre activity either single performance or a theatre organization.

Course content
Basics of theatre project management
The course content is an introduction to the rise, existence and conclusion of the basic form of a theatre project, that is, a one-time production project, independent theatre ensemble and smaller festivals and other theatre events.
1. Introduction to issues
- types of projects, their particulars and start
- artistic, financial and production perspectives
- basic questions: why, for whom, with whom
2. Project budget - investment aspect of the budget I.
- investment structure, logical divisions
- listing of individual elements - justification, mutual relationships
- practical examples
3. Project budget - investment aspect of the budget II.
- creation of a model example (fictive project, or possible a real project)
- estimation calculation of individual budget elements.
- auditing and finalization of the investment aspect of the budget
4. Project budget - yields
- where to look for resources
- construction of budget yield parts
- how to replace missing sources, alternatives
- finalization of the budget - judging the feasibility
- project implementation - monitoring the budget, accounting
5. Grant issues - practical exercise
- where to request
- characteristics and division of grants and donations into groups
- preparations for grant requests
- guidlines - „tips and tricks“
